Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic among Undergraduate Dental Students: A Qualitative Study

Introduction: During COVID-19 pandemic, students were introduced to a novel learning platform moving away from in-person lecture classes and pedagogies. Medical courses in general dentistry specific has its chunk of curriculum devoted development clinical laboratory skills, patient interaction management wide spectrum oral diseases which affect the human body. Many Universities have shifted online mode delivery lectures traditional college activities during lockdown Objective: This study was conducted assess psychological social, educational physical health impact on dental undergraduate through qualitative method. Methods: Qualitative phenomenological approach undertaken. Focus group discussions in-depth interview according different grades their course. Results: Psychologically, anxious prolonging course also conduct exams. The initially thrilled be with close family members; but gradually boredom loomed large. Those who used regularly take part sports, games other could not continue those as restrictions enforced. Conclusion: mostly due lack training dentistry, exams duration. Students glad members lock down. activity among come down drastically.
